Description[]

Programs are used by Incognita to hack Mainframe Devices, for example; Augment Grafters, Drones, Safes and any other device with a firewall.

There also exists programs for the sole purpose of generating PWR, which is needed for most hacking programs.

To further aid your Agents, miscellaneous programs can help give a much needed ace-in-the-hole to the agency.

Additional Programs can be bought from Shopcat's Mini B@z@@r or Gr@nd B@z@@r through server terminals.

Hacking Programs[]

Hacking programs are used to break Firewalls on uncaptured mainframe devices. When starting a new game, you get to choose from one of the following Hacking Programs:

  • Lockpick v1.0
  • Parasite v1.0
  • Rapier
  • Brimstone
  • Mercenary
  • Golem The Contingency Plan
  • Ritual Nintendo Switch

Icon-program-parasite
Parasite v1.0 400 CR - 0 Infect target to break 1 firewall at the start of your turn. PWR cost increases per hosted parasite and starts at 0 PWR.

Meaning: placing a Parasite while there is another active parasite will cost 1 Power, placing a Parasite while there are two other active parasites will use 2 Power, etc.

Parasite v2.0 500 CR - 2 Infect target to break 2 firewalls at the start of your turn. PWR cost increases per hosted parasite and starts at 2 PWR.

Meaning: placing a Parasite while there is another active parasite will cost 3 Power, placing a Parasite while there are two other active parasites will use 4 Power, etc.

Note: Parasite v1.0 and v2.0 are independent of each other; you can use both without one increasing the cost of the other. However, an individual mainframe device can only host v1.0 or v2.0, not both at once.

Program0017
Rapier 600 CR - 1 Breaks 1 firewall. PWR cost increases by 1 each Alarm Level.

Meaning: at Alarm Level 0 every use of this Program will cost you 1 Power, At Alarm Level 1 > 2 Power, at Alarm Level 2 > 3 Power, etc.

PWR Generating Programs[]

All Hacking and Miscellaneous Programs, except Datablast, Daemon Sniffer and Leash, require PWR to use.

When starting a new new game you get to choose one of the following PWR Programs:

  • Power Drip
  • Fusion
  • Seed
  • Faust
  • Dynamo
  • Burst The Contingency Plan
  • Siren Nintendo Switch

Icon-program cycle
Cycle The Contingency Plan 750 CR - - All PWR is cleared at the beginning of each turn, then Gain 3 PWR. Passive.
ProgramDynamo
Dynamo 1000 CR - - Generate 2 PWR per turn. Disabled until alarm level 2. Passive.
Program0016
Emergency Reserve 300 CR 3 - Gain 5 PWR at the start of the turn if PWR is 3 or below. Passive

Faust 300 CR - - Gain 2 PWR per turn. 20% chance of installing a Daemon. Passive

Gain 3 PWR each turn while on cooldown.

Notice: Fusion was nerfed down to cooldown of 3 in the Fresh Code patch, but brought back up to cooldown of 4 with the DLC. The addition of Burst must have been the balancing factor.

Power Drip 300 CR - - PASSIVE, Generate 1 PWR point per turn.
Icon-program Root
Root 300 CR 6 0

Gain 6 PWR. -1 PWR per turn on cooldown.

Note: Subtracts 1 PWR from all passive PWR generation. Only efficient when ending every turn with 0 PWR. Combines well with Seed.

Siren Nintendo Switch ??? CR - - Gain 3 PWR on use. Raises the alarm by 1 on every use. Disabled at Alarm Level 6.

Wildfire 400 CR 1 0 Gain 5 PWR. +1 to all FIREWALLS.

Miscellaneous Programs[]

Miscellaneous Programs have a variety of uses, and can give a critical edge when performing an infiltration.

No miscellaneous programs are given during a new game, they must be bought from Shopcat or found as a possible reward from a Research Databank.

Icon-program-sniffer
Daemon Sniffer 350 CR 3 0 Reveals hidden Daemons when used.

Meaning: it will show you what kind of Daemon is protecting a device like, Authority, Blowfish, Felix, etc. Daemons protecting devices are always shown in the Incognita Mainframe view.

Icon-program Jester
Fool 100 CR 1 0

Reboots a device for 1 turn regardless of firewall strength, spawns a Daemon. Passive: Daemon duration +1

Protip: Great for using alongside Central (due to daemon installation).

Icon-program Halt
Halt 500 CR - 3

Reboots a device with 3 or less firewalls for 1 turn.

NOTICE: Has been removed from acquirable programs list in the game's code due to its worthlessness.

Programs0013
Hunter 550 CR 3 5 Kills a daemon. 3 turn cooldown. Will kill Plastech modded MK1 guards if their daemon dies.
Programs0014
Leash 500 CR - - PASSIVE. Control drones for an extra turn (Camea Drones > 3 turns, Obake and Akuma Drones > 2 turns).
Icon-program lightning
Lightning 800 CR - 8 KO a TAGGED guard for 2 turns. Removes the TAG.
Icon-program-oracle
Oracle 500 CR - 4

Take over a random camera on the level.

Protip: Combines well with Seed and Mercenary. Normally, cameras never start the mission with daemons on them, but they can become infected.

Icon-program-overdrive
Overdrive 700 CR - -

All programs -2 cooldown (min 1). +1 PWR cost. Passive.

Icon-program-ping
Ping 450 CR 4 1 Create a distraction noise. It distracts every guard in distance at most 4 from this noise.
Icon-program rogue
Rogue 300 CR 2 2 Reveal an undiscovered safe.
Icon-program-shade
Shade 500 CR 2 1 Reduces sight range of guards.
Program0020
Taurus 400 CR - 2 Moves a daemon to a random device (if available).
Icon-program-wings
Wings 500 CR 2 1

Increases AP of all agents by 2. Costs 1 PWR.

Note: This is the rarest program in the game, having between a 1 - 5% chance of appearing anywhere.

Program0018
Wisp 300 CR - 3 TAGs all visible guards so they can be tracked for the duration of the mission.
  • Sell prices are half the Value prices.
  • All Value prices listed are obtained from the games code rather than the shop interface.

Trivia[]

  • The hacking program Turing, which is received on the final stage, is named after the Alan Turing, whose work on the breaking the Nazi Engima Machine encryption was considered to have not only handed the Allies a decisive victory, but laid the foundation for the future of cryptography.
